how eef works

selection process

1. In October each year approximately 100 potential candidates will sit an examination set by the School of Tomorrow. The exam consists of tests in English and Mathematics.

2. In November each candidate must submit a completed application, consisting of:
a) A recommendation from a Head Teacher detailing the candidates potential and socio-economic background.
b) Two years of past authenticated school reports.
c) A written essay based on topics such as family life and career aspirations.

3. In January, a short list of approximately 40 candidates will be interviewed by representatives of eef. In many cases a visit will be made to the candidate's place of living.

4. Based on the examination results, the application, the interview and the home visit, as well as discussions with the school staff, a final set of students will be offered a scholarship at the School of Tomorrow.
