If you would like to support eef’s work but don’t want to become a direct mentor of a student, you could consider becoming a friend of eef. As a friend, we will provide you with updates on all our students’ lives at the school through quarterly newsletters.

With the money from friendship donations we will pay for everything that is not directly associated with an individual student’s education. For example some of our students have no living relatives and need to provide for themselves. We help them by paying for their accommodation and regular food supplies.

The following are examples of what your donations can buy:
£ 25 one months rent for a private room in a safe compound
£ 30 healthy food (breakfast and dinner) for one child for a whole month (£ 360 for a whole year)
£ 75 furnishing one of our student’s rooms with a bed, a desk, a chair and a small cupboard
£ 500 construction of a student’s room in a students’ residence

Friendship is annual, so you can decide each year whether you would like to renew your support for our programme.

Please note, that all our expenses such as travel to Ethiopia, telephone cost etc will always be covered by the board members themselves - never by your donations.
